Good evening!

If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, check out our Market! This Saturday, June 14th, will be packed with new and exciting opportunities. In addition to our current, awesome vendors, we will be welcoming Troller Point Fisheries, and Mad Moose Pizza. Troller Point packs out of Alaska, and will be offering up flash-frozen fish. They practice environmentally safe hook-and-line fishing, and we are proud to add them as a vendor.

Mad Moose Pizza is a small, husband and wife company that handcrafts individual wood-fired pizzas, including mediterranean, BBQ, and good old-fashioned cheese pizzas. Gluten-free options are available, as well as homemade lemonade.

As far as activities go, this weekend marks the kick-off of Discover You Can! This program is a nation-wide contest for local Markets. We will be offering classes on how to can local foods – using vendor’s products – as well as offering coupons, giveaways, and more. This Saturday, Chef Amy (of Amy’s On the Bay in Port Orchard) will be giving a demonstration at 11am, and there will be a Canning Demonstration tent set up from 9am – 3pm. We are very excited about this opportunity, because we hope that it will allow people to have access to healthy, local foods year round.

We will also have Brett Gadbois at the Market providing homegrown music. We hope that you will stop by, because this Saturday promises to be fun, informative, and a delightful time for all!

If you want to follow us elsewhere on the web, we are on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest! We like to have photos of each weekly Market, so if you feel inclined and post them on Facebook or Instagram, please tag us using the hashtag #pofarmersmarket so we can check them out!

Thanks for reading, and see you Saturday!
